Frenectomy Surgery Video

Lip & Tongue Ties Surgery

Lip and tongue tie surgery, also known as a Frenectomy, is a minor yet significant procedure aimed at correcting restrictive bands of tissue (frenula) that can limit the movement of the lip or tongue. These conditions, known as lip-tie and tongue-tie, can interfere with essential functions such as breastfeeding in infants, speech development, oral hygiene, and even the proper alignment of teeth. The surgery involves a quick and precise release of the tight frenulum, often using a laser or surgical scissors, to allow for improved mobility. The procedure is generally performed under local anesthesia and has a quick recovery time, leading to significant improvements in feeding, speech, and overall oral function.
